1. Look at this Timeline and answer the questions in pairs in the comments box. 





2. Scroll down to the map of Ireland and in pairs trace the map and draw in where these monasteries are:

  • Clonmacnoise
  • Glendalough
  • Ardmore
  • Skeilig Mhicill
  • Kells
  • Ardagh
  • Bangor
  • Clonard 
  • Armagh
  • Iona
  • Kildare
  • Clonfert

Write down who founded the Monasteries also

3. Now pick any Monastery in Ireland (not Clonmacnoise) and write up a Popplet about the Monastery. Include details such as:

  • Where it is
  • Who founded it
  • What features the monastery has
  • Anything else interesting about the monastery
  • Include pictures
